I’m a charity leader, strategic consultant and leadership mentor with 16 years as a senior executive in the not-for-profit sector — and a career before that spanning commercial and public sector roles.

I’ve led organisations through some of the most demanding situations the sector presents. As CEO of YoungMinds — the UK’s leading children’s mental health charity — I led major transformation and growth: developing services and culture, raising the charity’s national profile and significantly strengthening its impact at scale. As CEO of The Mix (then YouthNet), a major digital wellbeing service for young people, I navigated financial restructuring, service de-merger and development and transformational change.

Alongside executive leadership, I’ve held a number of non-executive positions, including as a founding Trustee and Vice Chair of WeareCAST and appointed to a number of influential sector, NHS and government bodies, including NHS Mental Health Programme Board, National Suicide Prevention Strategy Advisory Group, ITV Get Britain Talking Steering Group, UKCCIS (UK Council for Child Internet Safety) Filtering Working Group and the Camelot National Lottery Advisory Group.

In my consultancy work, I have supported over 25 charities and social impact organisations — from small start ups to major national bodies — supporting leaders on strategy, culture, governance and the leadership that unites people around a shared purpose and values.

I’m direct, warm and genuinely invested in the people I work with. I believe the social impact sector exists to deliver real change and justice, and that when leaders are supported well, organisations — and the communities they serve — are stronger for it.

Outside work, I’m often out exploring the UK on foot, enjoying the arts and culture London has to offer, or trying to get better at cooking.

Long-distance hiking is a particular passion and all the images throughout the site are from my hikes, including the Camino Francés to Santiago de Compostela, Wainwright’s Coast to Coast, the Path of the Gods from Bolonga to Florence, St Cuthbert’s Way and the moors around Haworth.
